FAQ

What is the difference between raw veneer and two-ply veneer?

Raw veneer is a thin slice of natural wood without a backer. Two-ply veneer bonds the raw face to a paper or phenolic backer for easier handling and curved applications.

What species do you carry?

We carry hundreds of domestic and exotic species including quartered walnut, rift white oak, figured eucalyptus, fumed oak, maple, cherry, and many more. Browse our full species catalogue.

Can I get samples before ordering?

Yes. We provide sample flitches or veneer leaves for most species. Contact us with your project requirements and we will send appropriate samples.

What are your standard sheet sizes?

Architectural panels are standard 4' × 8' and 4' × 10'. Raw veneer flitch sizes vary by species and cut. Custom sizes are available — contact us.

Do you work with architects and specifiers?

Absolutely. We work directly with architects, interior designers, and millwork shops from early concept through final specification, including custom matching and technical support.

What is bookmatching?

Bookmatching is a veneer matching technique where consecutive leaves from a flitch are opened like a book, creating a mirrored grain pattern across a panel.
